I used to use a clam type press but had separation failures mainly due to fumbling getting them out of the press. I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW FAST YOU HAVE TO BE FROM OPENING THE PRESS TO SEPARATING THE PAPERS for a clean peel or its £3 down the drain.

Looks like insufficient or uneven pressure and a bit too cold. If the pressure is OK then are you keeping finger grease off of the papers ?

I presume you are using OKI original toner and not low cost refills.

no greasy fingers, the proper inks that come with the oki printers from the transfer press as part of sunangel system, pressure is the main thing im thinking, i am using 130c and 40 seconds which should be ample so thinking the pressure is the problem.

so I have a better press now but having more issues papers are peeling well but when peeling backing paper from the shirt some of the paper is staying behind on the image part of the shirt as though a layer of the paper is torn off when peeling don't know if pressure is too heavy or too light when I had it higher the image was getting peeled off completely onto the adhesive sheet...

I know of at least one person who has ditched their system because it simply does not work.

Funny how Sun Angle were keen to shoot me down when I explained how expensive the system really was, yet avoid these threads like the plague....

HI, here is my story with sunangel
I bought the white printer and to be honest my design technique aint the greatest so ive been using it as a white only printer on designs that require lots of weeding. now to be honest i havent used it much but a couple of months ago i went to use it and straight away the paper wrapped around the fuser, i was a bit annoyed as i had done nothing wrong and was receiving a error message which meant the printer was no good to me unless i bought a new fuser. i contacted Annie at sun angel and she sent me a free brand new one no questions asked, i have not used my printer with the new fuser till Monday this week, and guess what straight away the paper wrapped around the fuser again giving me another error message. i was ready to throw the printer in the bin and cut my losses. Before i did this i sent Annie a stinking email saying how unhappy i was with the system. I received a email back the next day informing me Annie no longer worked for sun-angel BUT they had realised there is a fault with the system and papers. They said they are now on ULTRABRITE 4 and have realised that some people were having the same problem i have been having. They are sending me another Brand new Fuser and 20 sheets of the new Paper. so only time will tell. They also explained that the printing of the image is now changing. before i would print out the colour in Red to get my white. they are now saying we should be printing out in a yellow to get a lesser coverage of white which should stop the problem of wrapping around the fuser.
Anyone else using the new papers ? are you printing out in red or yellow?
thanks

Dave, thanks for this info. I have more or less given up with mine. It's not that it does not work, as I have had a good print, but it is not consistent enough for me. I had not seen this info to change to yellow instead of red for printing the White.
Will have to check their website.

edited to add that the instructions are still the same and the paper is still Ultrabrite Pro 3 on the website. (this only came out late last year)
Cheers
