Fire signage

Hi guys.
I have been asked to provide some fire signs for a client. They want them to be on metal. I am drawn between sublimetals and sublimating them or applying vinyl.
Either way is not an issue the problem is where do I find fire signage artwork. Is there a some software with the designs that I can buy or can they be file shared by some friendly fellow member.

There are disks with all the standard signage on, I no longer have access myself (sorry) but I'm sure some kind person will be along shortly to offer assistance. We always did them on vinyl, I guess it depends on the location required. My concern with sublimation would be that they could fade very quickly if exposed to sunlight, we don't get much of that here so not a problem but uv is very high

Are there regulations/standards that need to be adhered to for this type of signage?
Are there any implications for your public and product liability insurances?

Looking at google images at the fire signs all look pretty straight forward and could easily be done even in a basic vector graphics program, unless I have got the wrong end of the stick in which case I will let go. what exactly are you after ?, single colour, image, text, size, format etc may be able to help if I can

Personally I would do them in Metal. much more durable and its an excuse to deal with Sublimetals (which is always a treat as they are such a good company )

However I would just check that you are allowed to print them on any substrate, like Pisquee says, there must be H&S regulations about these things and it might be that metal is not allowed due to how it retains heat, that is pure speculation and I would advise you to seek the correct advice

I know that you can do them in metal and also the size of the sign is governed by viewing distances as my day job is as a sign fitter for a local signage firm. As this is a private job I cannot really ask my employers if I can use their files to cut the vinyl myself at home!!

All I am after is the vector artwork so I can run it all through my plotter at home. I know that there is a company called IMPACT who do this kind of thing but as I am only doing a small run, 7 signs not sure if I can justify the cost.
