Hi all I'll start with saying I am brand new to dye sub printing and I'm trying to get my head round a few things.
I have bought a Ricoh SG3110dn with sawgrass dye sub inks, at the moment I have only done a couple of t-shirts and a couple of drawstring bags.
I'm wondering if I have all my settings right. I have installed the powerdriver 4 download but I also noticed there is a separate ICC profile I can download though I thought powerdriver had the ICC built in.
Should I be downloading the ICC? If so how do I use the ICC.
I'm asking these questions as I don't feel the colours are very bright and the prints don't seem very clear once pressed.
As I said I'm new so no question will be ignored as I've only done HTV until now. I plan on doing mugs and other bits'n'bobs once I get my bearings on the dye sub basics.
Newbie with some questions.

Log on to SG support, all guides are there. I have them downloaded if you're struggling to find them.
Power driver is basically an ICC management interface so no need for separate profile.

Re: Newbie with some questions.
Thanks, Found it and I have went through the setup. Turns out I wasn't setup correct so I'm just waiting till I get some more blanks/garments to test this.
One thing I printed and pressed a drawstring bag for my daughter, bag was light pink. Once it was done there is a lot of the pink bag showing through the image I used (which was a picture of her on her horse). Should the colours be seen more or will the pink always show through. Trying to explain the best I can but its as if the full picture has a pink tinge to it.

I,m afraid so Kev, you have to remember that sublimation ink is a dye and when heat pressed becomes part of the substrate, always print onto white substrates if you want a true colour print.
Re: Newbie with some questions.
Ok great. I was kind of thinking this would be the case.
