Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a printer that will print credit card sized photos. The only one I can find at the moment is the Canon Selphy series - but really I'm after something a bit more heavy duty. All the commercial dye sub machines only seem to print with 6 or 8 inch media - is there anything out there that takes smaller media (2 or 3 inches)?
Thanks
Jack

You can get little polaroid printers:

But you can print any sized photo you want. Size it in photo editing software, put in your A4 photo sheet and trim the photo.

Thanks Gooner Gary, but I'm looking for something a little bit more heavy duty/commercial that won't involve any trimming. More like a photo kiosk printer or something

From my 23 years in photo, pricing is always most attractive for mass market products, and 4x6 is the mass market ..... either do 4 up or buy a sized passport pic type cutter and accept waste.
you could get a fuji ASK for not much, and the media is under 20p ? - there are ID card printers, but I bet they are more K to buy, and higher cost per image too?
think this is just the media

the kodak 6800 is also indestructable
here is one with 1400 prints worth of media for £500

I am sure if you wait around you will get either for half this price?

Would an ID card printer using plastic ID cards work? If so there are loads on the market.

Re: Printer for credit card sized photos?
Thanks guys - All really useful answers. An ID card printer would work if I could load it with pre-cut photo paper?
Failing that, it looks like I might design an automated cutting element that trims the photo after printing...
