Re: Weight of 36 boxed mugs?
Afternoon. Our studio is currently closed for summer shutdown and I am across the pond needing to put an urgent quote together. Am I right in guessing that a box of 36 10oz mugs (Xpres) would be around 15kg?

Thank you. I must admit we do also use your mugs (just finished 12 boxes) and as a company are thinking we may move over to your mugs completely due to the mug base printing you offer.

I just sampled every single dye sub mug available in the UK for a particularly fussy client. When I presented them they even had a magnifying glass to inspect them. That client went for the Listawood Budget Mugs saying that was their clear winner:-)Thank you. That's interesting. What kind of print are you doing on their budget mugs? single logo both sides, edge to edge...

Anything and everything, printing edge to edge on the budget is consistent and very reliable. I use an oven for printing 12 at a time and normally am about 10mm away from the handle (220mm print area), although if the client insists I will go as close as 5mm but would expect a few failures being that close. That's interesting. I would not expect any failures on a small run of 108 with bleed top and bottom (operator error aside).
I am just about to run a batch with the pre cut 100x240mm mug paper supplied by Subliblanks in the hope that will make it a little bit easier for me. Just need to make sure the paper is as good as TRUPIX.

Incidentally, I am using the green style clamps sold by many suppliers. If I were to use the brown style I think the print could be as little as a couple of mm away from the handle.

That's really good to know thank you. We shall get some budget ones in to test as well although I presume these are dishwasher "safe" rather than "proof". Also we are mug press based not oven but I shouldn't think that will make a difference. We always use mug paper and cannot recommend more highly the TexPrint-R Mug paper from Xpres which is only £3.95 per 110 sheets for DSF members: http://www.xpres.co.uk/p-9210-texprint- ... xpres.aspx
