CISS blocked, changing back to refillable cartridges

Since not being used for a long time my Ciss has blocked lines, so as an interim measure I dug out my refillable cartridges I have for my printer (Epson c82 - old but good). There are signs of some ink in 3 of the cartridges (had to buy new yellow as that was broken on the retaining clips) it is ArtAnium sub ink that is in the cartridges, only residue though what would be the best way to clean these 3 cartridges or bit the bullet and buy the 3 cartridges new?
