Well, not really a problem, just a bit of an annoying niggle.

I appreciate the need to have banner ads at the top of the pages, but there's a gap in the ads which causes the page to jump up then back down again when trying to read posts, write posts, or use the Arcade games.

Would it be possible to either fill the gap or make sure the ads cycle without a delay? They're spoiling what is otherwise a brilliant forum.

Much appreciated.

Been discussed a few times before, are you using an Ad Blocker by any chance?

Hi Justin.

Well, after some experimenting, it seems the problem is Adblock Plus (for Firefox).

If I disable ABP the ads cycle perfectly and the page doesn't jump.

If I enable ABP the ads still display as normal (so ABP doesn't stop them anyway!), but there is a delay after the Xpres ad, where nothing is shown and the page jumps up to fill the gap before the next ad is shown.

So, problem solved. I have disabled ABP on the whole of your site.

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

If the ads were static I wouldn't mind them. People use ad blockers not to deprive sites of revenue, but to stop annoying flickering distractions when you are trying to read.

How about a more expensive tier to the premium membership which eliminates the ads?

Not an ad problem, but I just tried responding to a post in a thread and I wasn't able to use spaces. Literally was typing and all of the words were jumbled together. It would not recognize spaces. I copied and pasted spaces from someone else's post. Then all of a sudden it fixed itself. I guess just a weird bug, but I thought I would mention it. It was really strange and almost made me give up and leave.
