Hi
So I'm trying to print with a press and I it's either not fully stuck on, the corners of the vinyl lifting up. Or its melted.
I've played around with seconds and temperature but can't seem to get it right.
Hoping it's something easy to fix.
Any suggestions welcome and will be tried out.
Also I have tried different vinyl to as noticed some melt quicker than others.
And I am using a heat protector
Thank you
What am I doing wrong.?
Re: What am I doing wrong.?
all vinyls are different.
some hot peel, some cold.
All heat presses are different, some are good, some are S**t
As a rule of thumb, for NORMAL vinyl, 10-20 seconds at 160c, cool peel should work. You can usually give an extra 5 second press once peeled.
If you have a cheap press ... how can you trust temperature?
Some vinyls can be over cooked, loose their stick after too long/too hot.
Try good vinyl, and measure temp of your press. - the thermal strips are probably the most accurate, the cheap IR guns tend to be inaccurate. A meat thermometer probe will probably be ok
try vinyl from The magic touch. very forgiving!
