Did Subli say they printed FBA for their own listings or they printed a bulk order for a trade customer who had the listings? The latter wouldn't be as bad as a few suppliers offer bulk printing of their blanks. Listawood for instance sell blanks but also sell a batch of 100 printed mugs to anyone requiring them. Many different business models out there and if you pick one which alienates customers then they live with the consequences.GoonerGary;121036 wrote:It is business, but don't expect me to support his supply business.
Subli are the same by the way. The fella mentioned on the phone when I was ordering that they printed off a ton of mugs for Amazon FBA.
Our friendly suppliers

That's not on. I have never purchased from them anyway but now I never will. They have reference to all sort of trademarks too, i.e. Madagascar Penguins, Friends, Google, NASA??? Surely that's not best practise either. I get that Chinese market is hard to police really but selling through amazon...

Re: Our friendly suppliers
No details, just that they were for FBA. If they are sending them directly to Amazon, surely it must be their own designs. Can't imagine them offering the whole business 'solution' to print, pack and send?Andrew;121044 wrote:Did Subli say they printed FBA for their own listings or they printed a bulk order for a trade customer who had the listings?
Re: Our friendly suppliers
That's is exactly what we do for certain products. Print, pack, send exactly the way Amazon require on behalf of third parties i.e. designer. Just saying as they might not be direct.GoonerGary;121049 wrote:No details, just that they were for FBA. If they are sending them directly to Amazon, surely it must be their own designs. Re: Our friendly suppliers
Just noticed one of my designs in their Amazon listings.
I'll definitely not be buying from them again

Re: Our friendly suppliers
I queried an eBay item some weeks ago with them, that they have listed as "thermos flask".
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-Ste ... SwzJ5XWKOI
It was unlikely to be genuine, not least because of its selling price.
They responded that it's not a Thermos, but called it that so people would know what it was..!
Too Arthur Daley for me to have dealings with.

Re: Our friendly suppliers
The fact that they are printing and selling mugs direct to consumer is sort of irrelevant. Lots of companies do this, both in out industry and beyond. Surely this is the same as someone who has a full time job and sells mugs (for example) on the side as a little cottage industry for a few extra pennies.
However, stealing your designs is a completely different matter and is really naughty.

Thermos was declared a generic name in US in the 1960's, so it is no longer legally protected worldwide. Like Asprin and Hoover, it can be used to describe a product by any manufacturer.
