Our friendly suppliers
Re: Our friendly suppliers
One Amazon listing caught my eye - they've either got a 100% coverage sublimation process, or else brilliant white sublimation ink...
Or maybe it's not a true representation of what they're selling!
It's very shoddy, and I'd also not want to sell some of their more questionable "designs".

Thanks

Whilst most of them are not to my taste, some are positively distasteful...

I wonder if Very Tea mugs buy their blank mugs from Coralgraph?socialgiraffe;121063 wrote:....
However, stealing your designs is a completely different matter and is really naughty.

Re: Our friendly suppliers
I dont agree with the above. If they are wholesale suppliers to the trade then dont compete with the market they supply. This is completely different to the part time decorator, the part time decorator doesnt have a cost benefit through importing products , the part time decorator doesnt subsidise their costs by supplying to others in the trade.socialgiraffe;121063 wrote:The fact that they are printing and selling mugs direct to consumer is sort of irrelevant. Lots of companies do this, both in out industry and beyond. Surely this is the same as someone who has a full time job and sells mugs (for example) on the side as a little cottage industry for a few extra pennies.

Normally I would agree with what you are saying and part time, full time, novice or expert never bothers me, but based on on this decorators who purchase blanks direct from China must are also in the wrong.I dont agree with the above. Re: Our friendly suppliers
In fairness, they could easily have hidden the fact they sell direct but have done it in the open. They have advertised on their site they offer a printing service which will be in competition with many of their customers, exactly the same as them selling on Amazon/Ebay.
The last few years there has been a substantial rise on people going direct to China. Many a discussion on here about it. I do it myself but might also by from someone like Coralgraph as I can't always keep stock. It would be a bit hypocritical then me complaining of them going the opposite way. Totally understand why many would get peeved though.

Re: Our friendly suppliers
It's a bit like me supplying my mug designs wholesale to a retailer on Amazon. Both us are competing for the buy box for example. And I constantly undercut my retailer in competition. My retailer would tell me to go **** myself. I will go through my retailers designs and make imitations selling them for peanuts. In business you decide if you are the manufacturer/ wholesaler or the retailer...not both if you want your retailers to succeed or be loyal to you.
