As expected, this did not fix the issue, horizontal banding in magenta and black. I now have a very large and expensive paperweight if anyone wants it?
I could be interested, how much are you looking for?

You dont want it trust me, the thing is a heap of crap.

Ive had it set up for a week and so far have not had a single perfect nozzle check since the one I had on the day I set it up.

I've responded to your other thread but will repeat what I said over there, you appear to have started with City Inks and have now continued down that path.....there's a possible link here maybe?

I had problems with the same ink as you use I tried to get a profile done with no success I paid for one to get done but found the whole process a real pain due to not being online with the laptop I used (old XP) so gave up on it, I intend to buy a new printer with the proper sawgrass ink and the proper profile, I used one in the past and never had a problem cheap ink is crap. it's going on ebay soon as there is loads of ink and somebody may be able to install the profile I have with it properly

I'd say SOME cheap ink is crap Bob, but there are some good, reasonably priced inks out there too. It's no good blaming the ink when you've admitted you couldn't even set up an ICC profile. I'd be looking to replace that old laptop before shelling out on new ink and printers.

Ive been seeing InkTec Sublinova suggested a lot online, only problem is they dont do ICC profiles for it.

Just a thought.....if you are going down a route like this then doing your own profiles is not rocket science with the right equipment.

CIE inks, with their supplied ICC profile work fine for me on Listawood mugs, but others may disagree. Even if Sawgrass inks were half the price they'd still be too expensive for me to turn a reasonable profit on mugs as there's just no way they'd sell if I increased my prices. Anyway, my eBay feedback is excellent and I've never had any complaints about prints or durability, with some customers re-ordering because they liked what they received.

Horses for courses though.

Yeah I agree, I had used CIE inks and paper for months in my SG3110 with zero issues so i know they do work well.

I guess ive just been unlucky, as with anything, what works for others doesn't work for everyone.

The problem COULD have happened with the ricoh running sawgrass, but we will never know.
