This may be not be an intelligent question but what the hell.
I have a Sawgrass SG400 which has been printing out blacks that look too fuzzy and light. And when I put the mugs in the press the images look faded.
I looked at the ink levels and the Cyan Magenta and yellow look quite low but not empty. Does low amounts of ink in those cartriges affect the shade of black.
I'm asking this because I don't want to spend £200 on a set of cartriges only to find its a printer problem.

Low ink levels aren't an issue and these warnings appear very early as the ink tubes contain a lot of ink on the Ricohs, you can run for a long while with low ink
. It won't affect your results......I'm afraid this will be something else.
