Hi quinsfan, I know that this wouldn't be impartial but it will be done correctly with power driver for sg and ss ICC and we also have a custom profile on a 9600 with inktec ink, Adam is on with printing various blanks and he will post the results all being well on Monday to show all 3 inks in a side by side comparison. I've also asked to do a video as well.

I know there are people out there who have custom ICC , wide format and non saw grass inks but for the home printer and straight out of the box test this to me needs to be the bench mark. Test the two suppliers side by side out the box.

Adam has just emailed these over more to follow with sublinova next week however here is a comparison between sawgrass and power driver and sublisplash and its own ICC. Sublisplash is on the right.

Hmm ...

While I agree that the SS prints look more vivid and the blacks are re3ally black, it seems to me that the colour of the face is leaning more towards a purple grey than the grey of the original image. The SG grey in the face looks near enough to the original but washed out a bit.

I know it's tricky comparing colours between a photograph and a screenshot, but here's what it looks like in my browser with the original opened in a smaller window for comparison ...

I tell you what's more vibrant about SS ... the price ... and they have no patents and law suits to pay for ;-)

Getting confused here. Maybe it is just the difference between a photo and a video but the SS inks on Paul's video looked a lot brighter/ saturated then the ones in the photos.

For me I think they both look great, but as I have sawgrass inks and never have complaints from my customers I doubt I would change to something which was just about the same price when.

Hi harequeen, thanks for taking the time to join the discussion but I'm very confused when people are saying things like it's the same price or no cheaper, it is 15% cheaper per ml than sawgrass, how is that the same price?

About £30 a set cheaper? For how much I use the printer I couldn't justify moving over due to the swap out kit you need to do the swap but I have just seen on the DSS site if you buy the swap out kit you get a free set of cmyk carts  albeit you will waste some on the change and would probably need a waste cart after lol
