We take shots of our unprinted products (both styes on white background), and then photoshop the designs onto them.
So, Justin, you could pay a tog to take a few shots of unprinted phone cases in a few different settings, and then you can photoshop your designs onto them.

^pisquee, we have some images created this way which works well for mock ups. Not sure how we turn the photo into a smart object but I guess we could get that done.

get you elf 2 flash guns. cheaper £50 each will do. two umbrella soft boxes or 24" soft boxes and you good to go. no need for tents.
don't bother with tents with LED lights as you will be fixing most photos in photoshop to correct light.
"M" mode and off you go. few hours and you will get yourself perfect shots!

If I could get the blank products staged and photographed, smart object in Photoshop this would do, I wouldn't need to learn photography! but I haven't managed to find anyone that can do this reasonably yet.

Justin - are you on the secret noths FB group??? If not we can PM to get you on there - same goes for other noths sellers on here.
Send me your FB account name, and your noths storefront details, and I'll sort out with the group admins getting you on.

There's often recommendations on there of togs who know what they're doing for general shots, and ones in noths style

That's basically how I do mine Justin, but without the photography.

I render (raytrace) my own 3D models of products then use the resulting image as a Smart Object in Photoshop to enable me to quickly change the images on the products and also to change the backgrounds without having to re-render each time, which would take up too much of my time and resources.

I use Photoshop's 'Warp' effect to make the Smart Object layer warp to fit the image boundaries on the product. Replacing the image on the product is then simply a case of editing the Smart Object, which is just a standard rectangular image. On saving the Smart Object, the image is automatically warped onto the product without me ever having to use the Warp effect again.

This sort of thing...

Because a Smart Object can be edited at any time.

So, for instance, let's say you have a cylinder on a Photoshop layer and you wish to bend an image around it. You could put your image on another layer and warp it to the cylinder. However, whenever you wanted to change that image you have to go through the time-consuming Warp procedure each time.

Now, if you put an image on a layer and make that layer a Smart Object, you can warp the layer to the cylinder, as above, but should you wish to replace the image, you simply double-click the Smart Object layer icon and it takes you to another tab where you can see the image in its original rectangular shape. Simply change, or edit the image, click 'Save,' and then when you return to your original document that image is already warped to the cylinder for you without having to mess around with the Warp function again.

Smart Objects have many uses and are invaluable.
