Re: Inexpensive Vinyl for Hen/Stag & one Day Use T-Shirts?

Hi guys

We're increasingly being asked to produce shirts for Hen, Stag, Birthdays and other 'single use' wear once occasions.

I'm sorta reluctant to use the premium vinyls and wonder if there's a less expensive alternative?

Any suggestions?

More often than not, they supply the shirts - usually BLACK!

I hate it when they supply the shirts as that's where it's easier to make the money! And yes, they;'re always black!

I prefer to keep using decent vinyl but I can appreciate the need to save.

Yeah, it's a bummer when they do that. I tell them to stick to cotton or polycotton and get stuff with rayon, elastane, etc in that's a nightmare to press and always ends up either scorched, or at best, with lines.

So I guess the question should be - who sells the cheapest flex - pink & white primarily.

if you buy it by the roll, 123 from magic touch is reasonable, thick as hell, but weeds well. TBH I am now using Dae Ha for all my vinyl, and theirs has a very sticky clear backing and is nice and thin.

Thanks for the info,

Must admit, I've never heard of Dae Ha. Prices look reasonable.

I find that printable flex is cheaper than standard flex - strange!

I always refuse to print onto customer supplied garments, unless it is something specialist that I can't get hold of.

MDP Flex is £4.25 metre if you buy 20m logs, or £4.45 if you buy 20 assorted metres of various colours. I usually allow a max size of 32x23cm ( at my 'standard' price), giving me a yield of '6 out' per metre. That works out at 85p per shirt with the vat.

Its roughly the same price over here , even for the premium flex. I get around 4 t-shirts out of a running meter ( thats just under half a Sq mtr ). That works out at 2€ plus VAT per shirt for the print. Then sell it on at 10€ per shirt. ( inc VAT). Thats for customer supplied shirts
With my shirts then around 15€ per shirt.
