HI folks

Just a quickie, anybody know of any garment label and tag printers, garment labels need to be sewn into the back collars of shirts and I also need clothing tags for the packaging. There are places online but means waiting nearly 2-3 weeks before they are shipped.

Labels and tags are both to be black with white text, if anyone can recommend someone that has a pretty fast turnaround id be grateful!

HI Logobear, that would be a similar fabric to what some labels are made is that correct?
Then just a matter of sublimating it onto a polyester type ribbon, i'm just wondering whether its possible to get a sheet of polyester woven ribbon so I could sublimate an entire A4 sheet of tshirt labels then just cut them out instead of one or a few at a time?

I've just had a thought, can't do that as the fabric will fray at the edges, so may as well just do a strip at a time in the press

Try cutting the strips on the bias, or buy a cheap overlocker.

If time is a factor then perhaps get shirts where you can tear out the tag and then heat press whatever it is you want to print on the inside back at the top (some performance wear already do this).

Something like tOne will work a treat or depending on the material you might be able to sub it

White plastisol transfers might be an option for pressing inside the back of the top. You could gang up a lot of transfers on one sheet to reduce costs. Then all you'd have to do would be to cut around each one with scissors and press.

We print labels of this type onto 1" white polyester ribbon which we buy in by the roll. We then just run it through the rotary press down the side while the products are running through too. You could do this on a flat bed press too - for what you're wanting you print them black.
