Hey Folks I hope you are all well and living in a Sublimation Fairly Tale :)

I am hoping someone may have had some similar issue that you were able to resolve or give me some suggestions.

I have an SG800 that had a noisy paper jam i have been told - i wasn't there at the time. After they called technical support ( ME ;)
1. I removed the offending paper jam
2. at the back door the grey plastic bar with fins that sits just under the paper rollers had popped out of its place - unscrewed the back door, put that back in place.
3. restarted the printer - sent a job to print .... it gets 3/4 off the way through - then stops and says paper miss feed ????? I have looked for every little bit of paper and every angle possible, cleaned belt etc ... Paper is set correctly on the printer and in the files sent ...

4. open the back door, close it again, cancel the job on the LDC screen - error message goes away.
5. Try print again ... same thing ... everytime
6.I have been on the phone to Sawgrass for 2 days - and they don't know :confused:?.....

If any one as any suggestions I would be very grateful :)
And it seems there is no one that i can find that repair these machines either
at this stage it look like I will splashing out on a new one !

Thanks for taking the time to read my post

cheers

I rent space from a Ricoh dealer and he will fix any problem I have. A decent Ricoh dealer near you should be able to help you.

Have you changed paper or changed to a new batch?
Measure the length of the paper and check it against your printer settings. This smacks of a path sensor issue.

Hi there Rabb
Not changed paper size or type it runs the same stock all the time - yeah I had double check the paper size from the file being sent and what was set on the printer - it was even doing it with A4 sheets when i was testing, some sort of sensor issue is what i think it is too ....

You may have a slippy roller. If it slips then the paper will not clear the exit sensor on time which triggers a paper jam.

Just needs a good clean out with air duster and platen clean.
