For anyone interested ...

The raytraced (rendered) scene was loaded into Photoshop and I used Smart Objects for the keyring images so that I can change them easily when needed without having to re-render the scene every time.

I'm sure images are only being used for 'sample' purposes ;-) Cease and desist on the way with my invoice....hahaha.

Smart objects are the best thing ever created imo. Just sent a customer proofs for her new leaflet, downloaded a mock up with smart objects, makes such a difference sending something more professional looking.

socialgiraffe Justin Ooer! Don't worry though, I'll remove the offending shots and just stick to my Disney, football teams, and car manufacturer items in future! ;-)

Another good thing for mocking up regular product types in PhotoShop is using actions to record your placing/transforming/skewing etc process onto the product.
Also if you use a layer mask as part of this process - put the mask on a new group, and then drop the images you are going to mock up onto the product in that group.

Thanks Webtrekker, that's very good of you to provide the smart object file.

Cheers

Thanks Harlequeen. I've no problems with anyone using it in any way they want either. There are umpern youtube videos describing PS Smart Objects, but it's much more helpful having one to 'get your teeth in.'
