Re: using your sublimation set up on dark garment?

Post by Paul »

So I received this interesting phone call from a company who reckons there is a game changer in the industry and they would like me to test their product.
it is using sublimation printer and ink to print on dark garments with treatment powder. I like the idea but is very early to say is it is actually usable. obviously there is no way of retaining descent colours but still... it is possible to print on dark! and I think this is a step forward. I will provide the video very soon! there are few more options that are very interesting like printing flock without weeding too. I made a quick video with my phone but again, I will make new, more in-depth and then we can discuss :)

Yeah, I think it might be the same people that contacted me, but after a bit of investigation into durability and costs etc I politely declined :-)

Be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Flock looks good, but is it reinventing the wheel? I have a roll of printable flock that has been kicking around in my office for over 5 years. There isn’t a call for it from what I can gather, could be wrong in that though.
