Galaxy hero swing out press
Re: Galaxy hero swing out press
Had my mind set on getting a Geo Knight dk20s heat press but may go for an adkins or maybe even a Galaxy hero swing away as it's around £400 cheaper. Do any of you good people have any experience of this galaxy model? Feedback as always will be much appreciated. I will probably hold fire until the print show in September before I buy and try to get a good deal on one of these presses if I buy on the day.

I have purchased the Galaxy Heat Press a few weeks ago which features the RimLock system for quick Platen changing, it also comes with an Industrial wheelable metal table from SubliBlanks, no issues thus far and very solid construction

I have attached a picture of the Heat Press with the excellent quality Industrial Metal table that was included for those who maybe interested.

Looks a nice press. I was looking into getting one of those but managed to get a good deal on a Geo Knight DK20s which I'm really pleased with. I do like the fact that your Galaxy has also got the slide out table as well as being a swing away. Enjoy.

Having just ordered this machine, I wondered how you were finding it a few months on?juggysingh;136492 wrote:I have purchased the Galaxy Heat Press a few weeks ago which features the RimLock system for quick Platen changing, it also comes with an Industrial wheelable metal table from SubliBlanks, no issues thus far and very solid construction

Hi, I have no major issues thus far, warms up from cold in aprox 20mins, so set a timerPerfectlypersonaliseduk;139329 wrote:Having just ordered this machine, I wondered how you were finding it a few months on?
I have extra platen now which is very usefull too from subliblanks. If you have ordered it with the metal table it will come delivered in a small heavy pallet. You will then need at least 2 people to remove the machine from inside the table to place it on the top of the table, then secure with bolts.
(You may also want to decide weather to use wheels or not for the bottom of the legs before you mount the machine on the table)
Apart from that all should be fairly straight forward.

Out of interest I timed my Geo Knight warming up to 200 and it was 8 mins, and mine is fairly elderly.
