Hi new to the forum.
At the present moment in time I'm using a silhouette Cameo 3 and silhouette studio. I cant complain it's easy to use and pretty basic for my current needs.
But I've just looked at Photoshop and it's so complicated yet I know I'll need to get to grips with it at some point if I'm wanting to develop better designs in the future.
Does anyone know of a book or online information on which to learn the ins and outs of PS. Or would people recommend a different software program altogether?

Re: Photoshop
Photoshop is RASTER - ie pixel based, - but cutting is VECTOR - ie shapes bounded by lines.
You can trace a raster image to get your cutting vector, - but a vector program might be easier
eg
Corel Draw

Re: Photoshop
If you're wanting to look up how to do stuff in Photoshop, then pretty much everything you will want to find out will be a youtube video, or a quick google for someone who's written a guide on how to do stuff.
But, as above, if you're wanting to do graphics for your cutter, than Photoshop is't best suited, but Illustrator will be better

Re: Photoshop
I use SCAL 5 with my cutter. It's excellent cutting at software at a pocket-money price. It also gas many built-in vector design features.
Personally, I do stuff in Photoshop then convert to vector using Vector Magic. Any further tweaks can be made in SCAL.
