I had one of those days, where I felt positive, trade was poor but I still upbeat, had two pieces of good news, which was good to hear, on a day like today you realized its not always about the money, or how hard things are, but how good you feel about the the little things in life.

The little things sure make up for the wronged big things.

On a side note, how come I can't see this thread in the forum section, only knew it was here because of the update from the main page?

When I think I'm having a bad day, my two dogs saunter into my work room, lick my hands, rest their heads on my knee and look up at my with two sets of big brown eyes. With caring co workers like that, I realise life aint so bad.

I think a lot of people are finding trade extremely slow this month, which is what I had expected anyway. Just using the free time to work on a new web site, all of which has been delayed by having a bad winter cold I haven't been able to shift for the past two weeks. When I look at the news, of people that have lost their homes in Australia and Brazil, I realise that I am STILL having a better day than many poor souls out there.

I have some friends who live slap bang in the middle of the Queensland floods but, they have been pretty lucky as they live on top of a hill so have managed to get away with hardly any damage etc. Most of their neighbours have lost everything & I mean everything & some of the insurance companies are refusing to pay out because it was an act of God. They are still trying to find a family of 6 who are still missing & some with local shops have been profitering too such as £5 for a loaf of bread or a litre of milk. I could go on & on about the horror stories they have been sending me every day. They even spotted 2 bull sharks swimming down a main road in Brisbane when the floods were at their height the other day. One of their friends has lost his house, all the animals on his farm plus all his equipment & he is now just left with the land which he won't be able to sell because it is now liable to flooding & on top of this he has a mortgage for approx £300,000 still to pay. The thing is they all have the Aussie spirit & are all mucking in trying to help each other for example getting up at 4am in the morning to start helping. They are some amazing people I have to say. Oh & one of their neighbours got back to their house only to find a cow on the roof & they said 'well, looks like we're ok for milk now'.

I now get up in the morning & if the weather is bad I just say 'oh well, could be worse' & just get on with life.
