For example, mom / mum and mommy / mummy.

Do you offer the option when people order?

Thanks! I have steered away while I find the easiest way to do them.

Dropdown menus are easy enough I guess. :)

I've always used text fields for customers to enter their own text. Personalisation can be a bit of a nightmare at times though as customers don't know where to place apostrophes in names (such as: James's Birthday, James' Birthday, Jameses Birthday etc), don't use capitals in the correct places, or just can't spell!

This is why I always send a watermarked proof on ebay for the customer to check over and approve before I make anything. This resolves any mistakes I may have made myself too.
