Mug Delivery
Re: Mug Delivery
I am currently using 5x5x5 postage boxes and paying online, it's £3.95 using Click and Drop for 2nd Class Recorded.
How do other people ship mugs and is it possible to get the cost down a bit using other methods? (Still keeping the proof of delivery).
Thanks

Re: Mug Delivery
If you have the volume, then Royal Mail Tracked on an business account can give you better prices, and you can post up 20kg in a 64x46x46 box, sand includes daily collections for all your RM stuff

Re: Mug Delivery
Do you know your Hermes driver?
mine is great up until recently he was collecting everything I booked as a parcel shop drop off after I dropped him a text.
Then Hermes changed the game a little, so now I have to have at least one collection booked. then he can add all my other parcels to the same collection.
Find out who your Hermes driver is and ask if he’s happy to take other parcels if you book a single collection. (He still gets paid for all of them)
I pack my mugs in a polystyrene mailers and wrap them in brown paper.

Re: Mug Delivery
Signature is extra but they don't get them at the moment anyway with the covid situation.NickH;145156 wrote:Thanks, is it £2.99 with a Signature / proof of delivery?
you will get a picture and gps location in the delivery record and its automaticaly insured for £20 but mugs are not covered. (as i found out)
Plus side is the cost but as with all courier services damages and missing parcels are to be expected.
Hermes lose 1 in 200 of my parcels more likely stolen by the driver or someone in the loading bays.
I always invoice my goods as signage so they are shipped as that too so i can claim for losses or damages.
Re: Mug Delivery
Thanks, I might try it for a couple of them.
My issue was just people pretending they hadn't had them as there was no proof of delivery which is why I try to ship everything recorded.

Re: Mug Delivery
RM48/ 24 have an online delivery confirmation, you don't need a signature. You get people complaining about non delivery until you present with the tracking number confirming the opposite. If you are selling on ebay and Amazon, the place is rife with buying fraud...sell elsewhere!

Re: Mug Delivery
You only need to book one collection they can add the rest onto the collection.
Just check they know how to do it before you commit though
