Re: Orca mugs Pt

I have had a batch of mugs which have been pressed as normal and then customer emails a week or so later saying after dishwashing the print has faded!

Am I wrong in assuming or a mugs are dishwasher safe?
I have my own mugs same supplier and brand I have been using for a few years and i
they have been through our dishwasher at least 50x fine and no faded prints.

I always stick to mdp for my orca mugs
i use truepix paper
and press is the same time and temps as always.
Printer settings unchanged.

I have asked him for some images so I can contact mdp about them hopefully coming Monday.

has anyone had this before?
Oddly one of them was broken so I tested it and low and behold when I rubbed the print whilst still warm it smudged.

once cold it was fine.

I've just had a similar thing with some of mine, different supplier mind, now all though I have not been doing this long, these mugs feel different to the normal ones I have been using even lining the printed paper on the mug dosnt feel right, it dosnt move as it should when you move it a few mm to center the handle.
Yet I just clicked reorder from my account so it should have been the same.
Is it possible that suppliers are off loading some of their shit onto us bit by bit as their is obviously stock issues every where at the moment, or am i just being paranoid ?

I'm new to sublimation, but could they be dishwasher safe on programs up to a certain temperature? I often see various kitchen items sold as 'dishwasher safe up to 45deg/50deg', etc

A valid concern - my last 2 boxes from different suppliers have been really poor. The last box especially is awful and they'll be going back - looks like a box of rejects.
