I think I will have to look into other options for selling. I'm not happy that they want to control my payment options. Peed off as I use PayPal my buy and sell account.

How can they withhold PayPal payments?
Ebay and PayPal are separate companies now and they have no access to your money.

Unless they have diverted payment to their PayPal account in which case surely that’s classed as theft?
You pay your eBay bills so they have no rights taking your money made from sales.

If you have an issue with a buyer and eBay have to step in to resolve there is a charge of £14 admin fee non returnable payable by the seller.

Well that would be most sellers bankrupt.
I read that in a small print that was sent to me by eBay forcing me to change.
That's not necessarily true.

By 'an issue' do you mean a chargeback? PayPal, and hence ebay, will charge admin fees to resolve such a case only IF YOU LOSE THE CASE. If you win, by providing the information requested by ebay, then there's no charge.

I should add that my daughter sends everything tracked, which I would advise any serious ebay sellers to do. Without tracking numbers it becomes harder to successfully defend a dispute.

Eventually ALL sellers will be required to be registered for Managed Payments on ebay, so it really boils down to whether you want to continue using ebay, or not. My daughter would have no business without ebay, so it's a no-brainer for her.

They've stopped sending payments too PayPal on my account and I will only gain access to the payments when I update my details to my bank details. They've completely stopped payments even reaching PayPal.

I changed over right at the beginning, no problems. I get daily payments, not sure but I assume I asked for that at the beginning.

I've changed to managed payments, I don't like it as much as paypal - but it will become necessary if you want to keep trading on EBAY.
I also changed from daily payments to weekly, as it was easier to do my books that way and keep track on orders.

I also had to put my prices up as its more expensive than paypal - not such a bad thing as it hasn't changed sales much and I'm making more money per order now than I was before.
