its like your picture now but the pressure on the handle when closed is light to medium

the pressure is nowhere near firm, its light pressure thats why I've release both small screws to get a firmer grip

Then your element is too big for the mug.

Open the press and tighen the thumb screw.
Close the press
it should be tight against the mug now.

If not then the element is for a larger mug not the 10/11oz mugs.

I thought it was the element (c) so I purchased a new one from MPD and its the same

Element C is the correct one.
measure your mugs across the top how wide are they?
Mine are 79mm for the 10oz

my 11oz Listawood mug is 82mm from the outer rim
Xpres 10 oz is also 82mm

I will phone MDP tomorrow and ask for a D element.

I originally asked for a D element and they said its C, thats why I have to release the x2 small screws to get a firmer pressure.

Or it could be the press itself
