Sub Suppliers and Credit Card Fraud
Re: Sub Suppliers and Credit Card Fraud
Anyone else get issues with credit card fraud after buying from certain suppliers? I have 2 cards which I only use to buy blanks and these seemed to get cloned and used for online purchases probably 3 times a year. The bank don't give a shit that I can probably bring it down to 2 suppliers as there has been limited crossover between the cards. Is it just me that gets these problems?
Re: Sub Suppliers and Credit Card Fraud
I had it a few years ago when I bought an inkjet printer from a company called your-it.com, which was a subsidiary of a respected public sector supplier.
It happened on the one and only time I had used the card, so it was clear where the leak had come from. Someone tried to use the card in India, but there was only about £20 left on it.
The bank weren't interested, but I got the MD of the parent company on the blower, explained the situation and fired a volley into him.
The subsidiary stopped trading a few weeks later. I assume it was a rogue employee.

Re: Sub Suppliers and Credit Card Fraud
I have a PayPal card which I only use for supplies and oddly that was cloned last year for £3.90, £1400 and £400 luckily I get alerts and contacted PayPal who were next to bloody useless.
The worst part is they didn’t care either.
they allowed the payments to go through and I had to claim it back which took weeks.
so how did they get my card details.
I have my suspicions though.
