Re: SG1000 - Colour problems - Help Please

Post by Tania »

I have been using this printer for a couple of months, all of a sudden when I print
say a brown dog it sublimates more of an orange colour! I have checked settings
in the print manager and checked all the obvious things. Can anyone help please.
I have contacted Sawgrass but not sure when they can help and I am worried as
we have a busy weekend.

Thank you.

What did Sawgrass say? Don't forget you are paying a premium using their equipment and inks so make sure you get the support you're paying for.

What does your nozzle check look like?

I have been on a chat with Sawgrass for two hours big gaps between messages ! Taking a closer look it looks as though all of the prints are wrong, the colours are
off and the ink is slightly wet, its as though print manager is not working.

I have no time for Print Manager but then I don't use Sawgrass either lol.

Have they dialled in and checked all settings? I know Print Manager just manages the profiles for you, I'm guessing you can't get the profiles without the software?

Have you changed computer orupdated your o/s recently? Some newer Mac operating systems don't handle profiles well.

Hi, No I have a windows computer, I suggested to Sawgrass they logged on and checked the software but they didn't want to do that.
I am not getting anywhere with Sawgrass there are huge gaps between messages, all day yesterday and now started again today with hardly any response, causing me a lot of stress :(

They didn't want to dial in and check your settings!? This lack of support has always been typical I'm afraid.

Where did you the buy the printer? How old is it?

I bought it from the Transfer Press who have been good and have contacted Sawgrass.

When I started sublimating, I confess to not dong much homework, I have a full time job and I was raising money for charity, the online shop has grown and is very popular but I am going to have to re-think printers, I can't work like this. This printer is new I am prepared to cut my losses and do something else. The Transfer Press have said they don't often get these problems.
