Anyone tried Epson L18100 yet
Re: Anyone tried Epson L18100 yet
Anybody tried this Epson A3+ yet for sublimation?
I am assuming it is the latest in the 1500w/L1800 line. Is it any good?

Looks smart, L1800 are silly money if you can get them as all taken for DTF, maybe this is a good solution. I might buy a few hundred units just in case!!
£649 online, not too bad at all.

Re: Anyone tried Epson L18100 yet
We're testing it at the moment, it looks a very good machine. Print quality is on par with 1500W / L1800. Print speed is improved as is the paper feeding ability. The ET18100 uses a centrally fitted paper feed roller cam rather than one that is offset to the right hand side. This means the paper is fed more centrally with less risk of misfeed or paper skewing. The central cam roller is also a maintenance / replaceable part which is very beneficial for higher volume users. The machine also features a replaceable maintenance box / waste ink container.
Overall we are pleased with it, and finally Epson have listened to our feedback regarding 1500W / L1800 paper feed - which has always been their weakest point.
We'll be testing it over the next 3-4 months to ensure it works well on a long term test rather than offering it for sale and hoping for the best.

Finally something that will replace the 1500w dynasty, hopefully more easily available than the L1800.
The last of my 1500w's is nearing the end of its service life - time to re assign it as a screen print possitive printer.

Have you bought these yet? Checked with Ink Experts and they will not stock until existing L1800 stocks run down.
I am in need of an urgent replacement for my dead L805 and cannot wait until L18100 becomes available.
Any suggestions?

They are available from other sources but you will need to get a profile made and buy sub ink. Don't forget that you can sell the ink that comes with it on ebay.

Thanks for the reply pw66. Do you know of any UK supplier of Sublimation ink for the L18100? Found one, Splashjet, but based in India.

Buy Inktec sublinova - available from plenty of UK suppliers. Your problem will be getting the correct bottle connector to fit the ink tank. Each ink number is a different connection even if the ink is the same.johna1954;152688 wrote:Thanks for the reply pw66. Do you know of any UK supplier of Sublimation ink for the L18100? If the tanks are like other Epsons you can just use a syringe to get the ink in. That's a shame that Ink Experts aren't going to stock until the L1800's have gone, they'll need to drop the price of those to make them more attractive imo. I wonder if they'd supply you with profiles as you would at least be buying ink from them?
