Uses for wasted mugs?

Hi there, just wondering if anyone re-uses sublimated mugs that didn't come out right? I've seen some videos where people attempt to remove the ink in various ways but I have not tried it. If they cannot be re-sublimated is there any other way of re-covering them?

Not really any use other than the bin.

Smash them up and use them in the bottom of plant pots with your compost on top. They are great for drainage.
