Just revived an old Ricoh SG7100DN, the SG3110DN, SG2100, SG3210 and others are very similar printers, so this information might be of use to anyone wanting to repurpose one.
I washed out the system, but purging is probably advisable if you are changing ink types.

The newer Sawgrass printers have different firmware so not recommended to try it with them.

According to the manual, SC 28112 is Ink supply timeout error (Tank 1 error).
So either a blockage, airlock or empty tank, the machine has not detected ink at the head in the set time period.
If you go into service mode and then shut the machine down, this may clear it.

I had this problem. The door/flap covering the ink carts is supposed to keep them in place and avoid bad contact. I eventually solved it by using a length of wide sellotape over the door to keep it firmly shut.

I refilled my tanks ,and after a couple of on and offs it worked thank you Mr WylieCoyoteUK
My Door is stuck on with gaffer tape too,as i managed to break one of the catches on the bottom
I am hoping to go for a A3 printer either the EPSON Ecotank ET-18100 or the Epson Ecotank L1800
the latter is supposed to be more The L1800 is known in the industry to be a more robust printer, stronger chassis, built to last. USB connection only
any thoughts anyone?
