Hi all

Just wondering who is everyone using at the moment for mug blanks, I've been using Coralgraph but unfortunately I'm finding a lot in the boxes are flawed and flawed in ways that can't be covered up i.e. chips, missing coating etc. I did speak to them about it but didn't get anywhere, so am looking for some new ones. A shame really because I loved how the Coralgraph mugs pressed but having nearly a third of a box flawed and not replaced is a bit much.

So who are you all using and finding good at the moment? I'd rather have a recommend at this point :-) Thanks all.

Thanks for the reply Justin, how have you found them? To be honest I'm so sick of paying for AAA products that have as many flaws as the cheap ones from Amazon! So sick of it I am close to giving it up.

I do individual mugs on Etsy and people just aren't as forgiving or understanding that the flaws are in the mug and not my fault. It wears you out lol.

I'm new to sublimation and considering investing in a printer so as to sell items at a market and things like mugs were going to be something I wanted to focus on along with a few other lines. I was looking for some elegant mug styles, taller and slimmer than standard mugs but these seem quite hard to come by and I don't want the issues you have experienced in your post, which makes me question if it's worth it.

I too am fed up with buying items only for them to be inferior. I purchased a lot of 15 wood bottle openers last week off amazon with the intention of printing onto them and the quality was dire compared to the picture. They were sent straight back.

I'm debating what's better to purchase for the long term between a sublimation printer or a laser cutter/engraver.

Thanks - those are very expensive! Do you find they are worth it UK?

Davey, I hope you get an answer, I only use the bog standard sizes so can't help you with the style you are after. I am sure someone on here must be doing the same though and will be able to answer you.

on this front, ill be honest they are totally different animals, lasers are my day job, dye sub is my side hustle, if your planning on making money I think personally dye sub is probably more reliable!

As for mugs, I order mine from Neil brothers, 11oz orca AAA mugs, never had any problems at all (except the £300 minimum order!)

"Thanks - those are very expensive! Do you find they are worth it UK?" Strange reply CraftyCup. My response again would be what I initially wrote to help you out which was "Best mugs but most expensive are 5013 from Xpres.". Not sure what else to say.

Sorry I didn't mean to offend you. I am grateful for the help. I only meant worth it as the profits are getting ever thinner on individual mugs and what people are prepared to pay for them. But I suppose I will only find out when I try them which I will.

With sellers printing and selling mugs at penny profits it's a mugs game, busy fools!

The XP5013 is certainly the best but price has gone up significantly in recent years. Personally I think we should be selling the mugs at a price that can still justify this but I understand what you're saying, obviously profit takes a hit.
