Logo on Mugs
Re: Logo on Mugs
Thank you - How do UV DTF transfers work? Is it time consuming to transfer the image/ logo onto the bottom?
Re: Logo on Mugs
Thanks for your responses everyone - all food for thought. On doing some research, I'm going to trial Polypropolene (BOPP) lables and see how it goes.... I'd still love to have a sublimation option on the bottom of mugs in the future, for sure!

Re: Logo on Mugs
Thought I'd have a play with our UV and manage to print the bases of the mugs, it's a way from being able to offer the service but initial tests were excellent. Pics attached for reference. These were pretty low res images, the black/orange also has a varnish finish for further protection.

Re: Logo on Mugs
Is that using a DTF UV transfer or a direct to object printer Justin?
Also, how do they hold up in an oven when you sublimate them?

Cool, will be interested to know what happens once they have been in an oven for 20 mins.Justin;154092 wrote:This is printed directly, only just done these so no further tests yet.
I used to get logos printed by Listawood but as soon as they went in an oven the ink used to start turning to a liquid again so ended up not doing it. Fingers crossed the digital uv ink has a higher temperature resistance

Re: Logo on Mugs
Appreciate LW sent plain mugs with logo printed, we would be putting logos on after image printed in oven but I will make tests both ways
