yes before the colours came out right but the image was grainy
which is why Paul sorted the profile out for me :)
but for some reason i think i've got things set up wrongly somewhere along the line
its a pity i can wipe the whole lot and start again but photoshop will keep my settings so i need to go through everything i think with someone who has a mac, as i think we have slightly dif settings than windows

right i googled resetting photoshop so i followed the instructions
then went thru all the steps Paul explained about setting up the colour settings etc
tried a print out with photoshop handling colours and using the art profile
still came out blue
so i tried letting the printer handling the colours and hey presto the colours were back to how they should be ???????????

Yep but if it works then use that setting. Strange but if it prints all the time like that then what ho. If you get really stuck with your Mac and need some expert help then Chris at System Solutions is worth contacting. They are based on the Rackheath Industrial Estate and will help with hardware and software. Just say Richard in Grenada mentioned his name. There could be other issues within the OS that he would be aware of. I'm running Tiger on a G4 and you are probably well in front of that. Keep on troshin....

Use the unsharp mask filter in the sharpness menu to sharpen your images and is the file that you are trying to print of sufficient resolution? Just trying to cover a few basics.
You are probably already doing this but I just wanted to rule that out.
