Re: Tea Coffee Sugar Pots

A new request from a customer. Other than sourcing plain blanks and applying sublimation coating. Has anyone seen any "sublimatable" type of pot with a lid that would be suitable for use as a Tea, Coffee, and Sugar caddy? and from which supplier?

Thanks Guys n Gals

I've come across a cookie jar with a wooden sealable lid, but it's too large to fit in a mug press.

I saw some of these kinds of things a couple of years back. They were basically a "mug with a top" - such as a milk jug with a small spout and a lid that would go on top of it.

I looked around at the time, but no UK seller sold them that I could find. Only the more common stuff reaches us.

I can't find the website now, but I'm fairly sure it was one of the Chinese ones.

Just had a quick look and they aren't as big as I thought. They are 95mm diameter so would fit in a mug press but you wouldn't be able to print all the way around (probably about 1/2 - 3/4) and are 150mm tall. They are quite expensive at between £5 and £6 +vat depending on how the shipping costs work and how many are ordered.

Thanks Martin, I think I might try a water slide decal as a sample and see what customer thinks. I will keep this in mind though as they want several sets.

When you use a water decal and after its on and dried ( I always leave for 2 hours just to make sure ) I use kleer (it used on floors to make them shine ) use a paint brush and cover it and leave to dry. It gives a shiny and harden coat which will protect your caddies from everyday knocks and also if the decals get wet the Kleer stops it from coming off. I use it all the time for various things

Whilst at P&P noticed one supplier with the cookie jars,(price list shows £3.49) can't find them on their site but you could call them or drop an email.
