what a day i've had lol
i bought a business card printer of a chap on ebay
i bought it direct and collected it so it was cheaper than what he advertised it for but still a few hundred pounds as these are expensive things as you know

I've been playing the last couple of days and have been struggling to get 1 of the print heads to align properly
so i just rung canon business and oh nooooooo
it turns out this printer according to the serial number is on contract to someone so their investigation team is now looking into why i have it  oops

i hope i don't loose my money.
always gotta be careful when buying off ebay esp when you deal direct and when you go to somewhere like manchester these big cities are renowned for crime
(not labeling anyone)

they will be ringing me back tomorrow and letting me know whats going to happen lol
oh noooooooo

If you bought it direct, you didn't buy it from ebay. ;-)

How did you pay for it?

Did you purchase it through an ebay listing, or did you do an off ebay deal?

no i contacted him thru ebay and then dealt direct but i have all the emails and still have the listing in my watched items
and his address and phone number he sent me etc
but i reckon i've lost my money on this one :(
i rem my brother bought a car off someone in the paper once and it turned out to be pinched the police took the car and he never saw it or his money again.
annoying hey when you buy something in good faith and they bite you on the bum for it :~

So, it was an off ebay deal. Ebay won't help you with this one, I'm afraid.

If you know where the guy lives, and have his phone number, can you not phone him up or pay him a visit?

Sell it quick and tell them you gave them the wrong serial number. lol ;) omg you have turned into a criminal receiving stolen goods. Seriously though I would be ringing the guy back you bought it off to see what he has to say. :(
Ride it like you stole it shiny side up.

Really sorry to hear that, I think your right, you'll not see your money again, it the sort of thing i would do, if I want it then i rush to get it, I act now, think later, and the worse thing its not what I do to other people so it would even occur to me that it has hot or even think that way.
