Hi my name is Steve, I have had a little shop in Cardiff City Center for over 25 years,
I started back in the days selling sports trophies and engraving, since then I've dabbled in most forms of the personalisation game.
So over the years my pile of machinery has grown some in constant use others hardly looked at, but they don't eat or drink.
I am now in the position of the kids are sorted, i have a house, wife, dog, cars, hobby gear, all sorted and am generally happy, so I thought right I'm going to try and and get a bit of enthusiasm back for the business side, as it's sort of ticked along for years with me just turning up, so I found a few forums and read your posts and you all enthusing about your business plans and it has inspired me to get back on the horse, upgrade some of my stuff over the coming months and join you all if you don't mind.

Just wondering which shop that could be? There was a trophy/engraving shop on Clare Road, Kolb I think was the owner. Not to far from Cardiff and used to be part of 'the Old Bill' in Canton.

Enjoy the forum.

Hi I have a shop in Cardiff Central Market,The shops been there over 50 years I've been there since 1982.The shops you mention I think is still there although most of the others have gone now. Cardiff is very expensive to rent shops these days even for me in the market.

Central Market! Don't get more central than that.

I know the costs in Cardiff are hideous. Makes me wonder if the council want the market!!! They'd probably like to level it and put some BIG Plc retail outlet there with the samo samo everything. They levelled Mill Lane AND the MOON CLUB!!!! I loved the market as a kid and still do.

Good luck
