Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
Hi Paul
ok firstly i day say that JSR wasnt pulling punches i did mean that his comments were probably as brash as yours,
I can only comment on what ive seen ie phe cases for $5.00 you have a valid point about the personalisation though i personally think the price is high and i personally can not see my customers buying at that price id be interested to hear from someone not connected with your company who is selling these as i said before i may be totally wrong (i often am).
theres no point showing us web sites that sells these all that tells us is that there are websites out there that offer these for sale
As for meeting the comments from JSR with the same attitude you feel they were delivered well have you never heard the phrsae 2 wrongs dont make a right. I have had many bloody awkward customers as im sure we all have and i can gaurantee that if i were rude to these customers or spoke to them with attitude this would get reported back to all who wants to listen i merely pointed this out it wasnt meant to be a frosty reception more of friendly advice, ignoring that advice is totally your choice but the conciquences of that will also be of your doing. I know of some suppliers on here who have dealt with some right mardy gits (im probably one of them) but they are always courtious helpful and without attitude and generally the get the return buisness. You must be doing very well indeed to be able to afford to lose potential custoomers such as the weird and wonderful on here ......

TBH I don't think Paul H said anything too bad, just direct and to the point in standing his ground. I think what possibly got things off on the wrong foot is that JSR's comments on having a whinge about price -not for the first time
, has probably been taken more personally than it was stated. If Paul H was an active member then JSR would probably have asked specific questions rather than just past comment. Anyway, I doubt Jonathan is going to lose sleep over a direct response.
As far as the product and company that Paul represents, I think it's great to have people developing products far beyond the norm for our industry. I often stand on the opposite side of the fence to most on here when it comes to true potential retail value of a product. Without having researched the specific phonecase, I don't find £20 to be over the top. I've said it on items like flipflops that you can't compare to mass produced pricing when you are offering an individual or short run service. I guess I have a different customer base to many on here which is where and why many of us have a different view point. If the phone cover in question was readily suitable to cover 75% of the Android market I'd probably have a look at setting up and adding it to our range. As it is, not sure what percentage the iPhone now holds but I think it will be shrinking ongoing with the other manufacturers increasing their share.
I'll certainly be interested to see what leather items are developed as well.

Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
£20 maybe is not this much for some people but Paul H mentioned that there is 1000,s iphone users. but it not mean they are potential customers. how many percent of iphone users dont like to use covers? how many of them use them but dont care whats on them? use it only as a potection... How many of them use them as a protection and decoration of the iphone and finaly those who are use covers for decoration will pay about £20 for cover?
regards to Jonathan post I didn't find anything bad in his post. most of us know Jonathan long enough to know the way is posting. personaly i find that JSR's posts make me think about some things again and most of the time I understand his points. and I do this time

Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
I think iPhone users are the classic example of people who would spend a bit more on a bespoke case. Most iPhone users are using them as they like to have the best and are largely obsessed with their phone. This is usually the way it is on this forum for me though, I accept i'm in the minority.Paul;30012 wrote:£20 maybe is not this much for some people but Paul H mentioned that there is 1000,s iphone users. but it not mean they are potential customers. how many percent of iphone users dont like to use covers? how many of them use them but dont care whats on them? use it only as a potection... I agree that JSR's post isn't overly bad but Paul's reply wasn't neither. Might not have been lovey dovey like some might hope of a supplier but that's his choice. Live by the sword etc. If he can offer a wider coverage of android covers I'll certainly look into the product further as it hasn't put me off.
Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
We have some new stock that has recently arrived with (a) white stitching and (b) slightly longer than existing. My iPhone just fits it - better than the current size. These aren't online yet, but if you want to try them then best to email directly and we can open a different box. Same price as existing.SciArtImages;29923 wrote:Sold a few of the mobile phone pouches that I got from BMS at a craft fair I did today. I was impressed by the way they printed and people seemed to like them. I got asked several times though if they would fit an iPhone. Had to admit they probably wouldn't (plus they only just about squeeze a Blackberry in), so lost a few sales. Given the number of iPhones out there, anyone know of anywhere to buy these, or if not then it might be worth a supplier trying to source some?
Cheers,
Neil.
Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
Are these still single sided Martin? I've always prefered the white stitching as this takes the print so disappears into the design but that's always been on the double sided. I'm getting to the stage where I need to go direct to get the bigger size, white stitching and double sided, but if you are getting nearer then that would be easier for me. I have actually been working on a newer shape to cover the large and medium size as the new iPhone I believe is going to be bigger again.bms;30024 wrote:We have some new stock that has recently arrived with (a) white stitching and (b) slightly longer than existing. I spoke to a company recently and i beleive it was Octi tech
I am really interested but would like to see if they actually sell, it sounds like it may be worth investing, mindyou it may mean i have to upgrade to a Iphone 5 for "advertising" purposes
