Feedback topic. Idea!

Just and idea and hopefuly i have not missed this on the forum or im going to lok like a rite plonker.

As there is a Buy It, Sell it, Give it away! section on the forum how about adding a references part to the forum then this way people can get feedback for selling/giving it away items which in turn buyers can look at the sellers references and in turn help buyers have a little confidence in sellers by reading what other buyers have added about there service from the seller.
Thats a mouthful.

There are a few ways we can do this. There's a Karma system built into the forum and I can also enable thanks and a reputation system. I'll speak to the kods about this some more and come back with the ideas see what folk think

I like the way TP have done it, stops people just joining to sell stuff aswell.

How about adding a references thread and then allowing members to have an image which can be added into their signature then if members wish to see a certain persons references all they have to do is click on the image in appropriate sellers signature and it will take them to that persons references ?
Not sure if that is do-able though Justin.

I've enabled the reputation system on the forum. You will see an indicator under the members usergroup name, just beneath the member-name itself. You'll also see a medal/star symbol underneath this section, if you click on that you can add to the users reputation and also add a comment.

The reputation is calculated in a number of ways. Number of posts made, number of days since joining and so on. There's a lot to it and time will tell how well it works

Hopefully this is something like you had in mind. I will tweak the system to add in a "thanks" mod as well.
