Re: too much black epson sx215
The SX215 isn't a supported printer, I'm assuming therefore that you aren't using approved inks? but I may be wrong. Have you had a profile made for this setup? Do you get decent nozzle check prints?
T-Shirt print time and temp seems a little on the low side but again this may be down to your ink/shirts/press etc. Do you have any way of checking the temp of the press?

Re: too much black epson sx215
OK, chances are it isn't approved ink then unless someone was selling on a system? The bottles would be marked if it was approved. You can't really do the profile yourself better left to someone who knows about these things. Member 'Paul' is the guy to speak to.
My personal advice would be to set up an approved system as the support you'd get at these early stages is invaluable. Initial cost won't be low but so many people come into sublimation thinking they can do it cheaply. It is possible to get good results with cheap ink/equipment but if you want to get up and running quickly and start making good money go down the official route.

you maybe right but if you not got capital you got to start from way down the bottom , i think i tried contacting
Paul about profiles on ebay , and i think you find there are loads of people who thrive on people like us without full capital ,selling cheap ink, paper ,machines
presses ,i know its the old saying you get what you pay for ,but lets try and make the best out of what we got ,at this present time , thanks for thoughts
so Pauls the man that can , i will go with that and try. appreciate your time and help very much , and i guess theres a few out there like me too

Re: too much black epson sx215
The printer and inks are the biggest things to get right, other things can be tweaked, if you're using a cheap press for example. The new Ricoh A4 printer can be bought for a decent price with smaller ink carts to get you going. The ink appears to be very expensive for sublimation due to the initial outlay but break it down per ml and compare it to putting small carts in your Epson etc. and you'll quickly see that the print cost iver very low indeed.
If the inks you have aren't clogging then that's a start. The profile is the next step. Good luck with it all. My only concern is the time you spend getting this system working could be time spent making good money! lol.
