Re: Graphics software options
Hi - just wanted to post a quick update. Yesterday I downloaded a free trial of adobe photoshop elements 10 - my first impressions: very powerful software and will definitely do what I need + more. Today's task - learning photoshop hahah (or at least some of the basics). Found loads of good you tube videos to help with basic features so it's practice, practice, practice from here on in. I have some old photo's that i've always been meaning to get restored too so looks like I can tackle this as a little project and have a go myself when I master the software. So far looks like I'm going to purchase from amazon.com as its the cheapest i've found so far for elements 10. I want the latest version to make sure I don't have any compatibility problems with windows 7. Had too many headaches with windows 7 and legacy software in the past..... anyway that's it for now..... i'll let you know how I get on and once again thanks for all the support/advice - this is a fantastic forum!

Mark, Have a look at this link http://www.photoanswers.co.uk/Video/ as there are a lot of video tutorials & quite a few using Elements. It's also worth buying Digital Photo magazine as it comes with a DVD with lots of very good tutorials.

Re: Graphics software options
elements works fine on win 7 64 bit version but compared to photoshop its quite basic.
Re: Graphics software options
true. but if you use this software most for the printing (as this is the cheapest software that use color menagment) and simple editing then is more then advance. and if you will use elements with at least 80% of his capability then you very goodcardman;35984 wrote:elements works fine on win 7 64 bit version but compared to photoshop its quite basic.
