Samsung clx2160
Re: Samsung clx2160
anyone know of a way how to clear the rollers in the back of printer
Had a piece of paper jammed - pulled it out the back door but it was tight and as pulling it,it has left bits of ripped papers jammed in the wheel
Ive tried everything i can possibly do to clear the jam but no success
I can print now so it must be jammed in tightly but thing is its marking every piece of paper that comes out
a line down one side - ive lifted lid under scanner and nothing showing there as jammed
This is the samsung color laser printer
been on it now for about 2 hours and still not much success - even tried google but it doesnt tell u how to get to the rollers - just how to avoid paper jams

Can you see the jammed paper in there? I don't know that printer myself, but when unjamming my Epson Aculaser, the paper had caused a mark on the photoconductor unit. That mark now marks every print that goes through the printer - even though the jam was cleared a long, long time ago.
If the jam has damaged your photoconductor unit or transfer belt/roller, then you may not be able to fix it without replacing the affected part. In my case, the PC unit costs more than the printer so I've not bothered...

Same as JSR, managed to weld some t' shirt transfer paper around the fuser and when I finally got it all removed it left marks all over. Fuser cost more than the printer, so it's still got marks on now!
If you can trace the paper path by opening the back (where the duplex might go) go through every roller and make sure there nothing snagged - not sure you can do this on a samsung though!

The last time I checked, the had different types of ink delivery systems. I do have a CLP-550N that I can't afford the ink for, and that has four large toners that slot in the front. The CLP-3xx models have little tubs that I think you drop in the top. Yours may be different again.cardman;37272 wrote:Do all samsung use same round ink drums - this one has 4
Many people forget that, while lasers can be cheap to run (if you're savvy about it), it only takes one fault like this for it to cost more to fix than to replace. It's silly, isn't it? Since when did laser printers become throwaway items?
Re: Samsung clx2160
since today

Gonna buy new one from currys or staples as need me printer
also i get the toners off ebay they lot cheaper than shop

Re: Samsung clx2160
im trying to find another of these machines - seems they discontinued
Reason being i have a lot of the inks drums left so dont want to buy a new machine and lose out on all the free ink i can use.
Also ink for this laser is well cheap whereas any new one is well expensive
i just got back from staples - they had a color laser for 279 which was a nice machine but the cartridges refills where 280 for set or 4 (70 quid single)
so that means the printer is basically a throwaway item as the inks cost more than the actual machine
If anyone see`s a uk seller with samsung clx2160 in stock for sale let me know
Just tried ebuyer and amazon - no luck
