Haha,

We are the biggest plastering forum to exist #:-) I started it 6 years ago and have built it up. We use to have a few competitors but most gave up trying to compete :-) We are now one of the leading authorities in the plastering industry which means we get a lot of product development work.

We recently helped British Gypsum design the new plaster bags, we are also helping another tool manufacturer develop a better trowel :-)

When a new product comes to the market they come to us to launch it and if its a sucky product we wont do it and literally that product will struggle to sell :-) Butr if we say its good then they will sell a lot :-)

But a busy forum doesnt come without its problems... we get libel defamation cases thrown at us a lot and I have death threats and what not...lol

Overall forums are good fun :-)

lol sounds like fun Danny

i know what you mean i run a forum also so know the hassles that come with it
i've been threatened with legal action but thankfully no death threats

what makes me laugh is when i have to ban someone they go to great lengths to try and get back on
i love it because it makes me realise how much ppl want to be a part of my site :D

when i started it there was 1 main competitor who was in the process of selling his site
i offered to buy it but he turned me down and went to a big us firm
within 1 week all the members had left and came to me
i went from a few members to hundreds over night :O
talk about scary

but the original owner then tried to do a character slander against me
in the end i had to see a solicitor and get advice
he wanted to sue this chap as he was loaded lol
but thankfully i managed to talk to him and calm things down and thankfully didn't hear any more from him
that was 2 yrs ago now

we go through dull patches and then go busy again
but i'd still love more ppl on there but getting good staff is also the hard bit :)
