Reason it may not work as John has outlined is if you don't have "Enable Instant for faster searching" ticked in options

Ove tue christmas was "let it snow" and you could see.snow flakes on your screen. Google do this sort of thonks sometimes

personally, - it made me smile!
it reminds me of some trick you could do years ago with IE3 where you could make a whole screen be upside down, - permanently, - until you did the reverse trick.
