Co-op buying offer

There's been quite a bit of chatter about the possibility of co-operative buying on this forum and how best to go about it, so I thought I'd throw a couple of offers on here and see if this really works for you guys & gals.

Offer 1:
DF1 Mug Press Business Starter Package includes DF1 mug press, D120 printer, Artainium Easyflow Ink System, 72x European Mugs, 1x Pack of 100 Sheets of A4 TruPix Paper and a 66m roll of heat tape. Individual selling price £538.30 +vat. Standard webprice £499 +vat + delivery. Extra discounted price for DSF £475 +vat and free delivery. For this offer to work there would need to be 3 committed purchasers and this would be available from around 8th February onwards (just waiting for new stock of DF1 to arrive this week).

As I see this working the 3 interested parties would need to agree amongst themselves to commit to the purchase and then make contact with the supplier to confirm the deal. The co-op buying system only works if all 3 systems are sold at the same time so this is not the same as a "special offer price" for DSF members.

Offer 2:
European Mugs for sublimation printing. These are normally £1.00 +vat each on a case of 36, £0.95 +vat on 72, £0.90 +vat on 504, £0.85 +vat on 1008 or more.

There are 2 ways of working the next offer and I'll take preferences from you on this. The first way is to operate in the same manner as above and look for co-op buyers at price points on 504 or 1008+. Once committed buyers have agreed on how many they want on a particular day then they agree amongst themselves and contact us to place the order. If 1008+ mugs are sold to those in the co-op that day then everyone gets the lower price of £0.85 +vat each irrespective of how many each of you buy that day.

The alternative way of operating this is that there is a smaller discount to DSF members for this particular product so you don't have the hassle of organising the co-op buyers but also you might not benefit from the lowest possible price.

Once there is a consensus (or majority view) on the second offer then I'll confirm the details for all from February 8th onwards for DSF members.

This Co-op buying I take it the order can only get delivered to only one address?

My personal preference would be this option as I feel it would be more beneficial to all members long term. This brings into question the discussion in another thread about "does the offer apply to everyone even if they have just joined". I've been looking at options for that to see what may/may not work/

Yes I agree. Before making any decision on discounts to forum members v users then let's see what works technically from your side first.

I think that it would be a great idea for co-op buying. I was thinking that myself.
