Re: glasses

Post by jennywren »

I've just had a eye test and the cheapest glass they can do with fames is 399.00 so I'm going to buy on line and was wondering if any one has brought their glasses and could they recommend a site. And any pointers on what to do or look for, to be honest I'm out of my depth here and I have to go on line as I cannot afford the glasses from the shop and I need a new pair as the ones I have a broken and old. The lens alone for me is 299 crazy prices for something that cost pennies

I think I need an eye test too!
My eyes have been like hawks for years but the last few months I'm geting blurred vision on my left eye when I've been doing too much computer or printing work.

Jennywren, could you try somewhere like Tesco/Asda opticians, or maybe one of the online places that actually manufacture the lens/glass - maybe cheaper doing it that way.

I've bought cheapos from Perfect Specs before, around £20 all in. Frames are cheap but lenses are superb, clearer than my Specsavers pair and water resistant too, great if you need a second pair.I'll buy better ones from them next time, took a couple of weeks but texts every step of the way, great service :-)Some online companies let you order frames to test at home first.
