Your views please - is this acceptable?
Re: Your views please - is this acceptable?
First off - this isn't a complaint, I'm just wondering if I (as a customer) expect more than the average person?
I haven't mentioned the Company Name as I want to see if my expectations are too high or not.
As usual, I ordered some vinyl from my usual supplier who also provide clothing so I added on some hoodies, t-shirts etc to make some numbers up.
Now, the vinyl arrives in the normal box in rolls and the hoodies & t-shirts (7 hoodies, 2 t-shirts) are stuffed into the box as shown below.
Now, the hoodies are little cheaper at this supplier than others I use - but is this acceptable?
Usually, from other clothing suppliers I get everything in a box taken straight from the shelf and I know that these will be pressed when making them but I have stands and it helps if I don't have to pre-press them for display purposes.
So - the question is, is this just me - am I expecting too much?

(by the way - you can imagine what the garments looked like when I took them out - no photo nessesary).

Re: Your views please - is this acceptable?
I'm pretty sure I can guess the company as my clothing orders always arrive like this as well. I'd rather they didn't but for the lower price i'll keep using them. If however other companies could offer similar prices then i would go and use them. I don't think you're expecting too much, i'm sure if we sent clothing out like that then our customers would have a thing or two to say.

And for others viewing, you may know exactly who I'm talking about but this isn't here to 'name and shame' anyone
just asking for opinions please.

I know the company as i use them a lot as well. i fully accept the way they doing as i like pricing and i am sure extra effort means more time. and we all know that time is money. so for the price i love it as i press them to look nice any way... btw. mos companys does this way. never had anything folded more then in half lol

Thanks Paul - good to see another side of the fence (opinion wise) - but, ref most other companies do it this way?Paul;44943 wrote:I know the company as i use them a lot as well. i fully accept the way they doing as i like pricing and i am sure extra effort means more time. and we all know that time is money. so for the price i love it as i press them to look nice any way... btw. mos companys does this way. never had anything folded more then in half lol
NO other companies I use do it this way (and I use about 10 on a regular basis with more that I've tried) - all of whom have at least folded the garments before packing them - not stuffed them in a box.
And the extra effort - ummmmmmmm, I bet getting a bigger box and putting all my order into it would have saved more effort (and time) than trying to cram hoodies into every last bit of space in a smaller box.

Re: Your views please - is this acceptable?
oh well. only my opinion... sure it would be nice to get it all nicely folded and already ironed but i accept it as it is and tbh this never worried me to much.
when i said "most" i didn't mean most of them make a mess in your box. i only wanted to say that they extra effort is to fold it in half and off it goes to the box. it look much nicer and less creases but for the price is not worth it i say. as i said i press all garments any way to remove creases so i accept it
and save few £££
i must be a messy bugger

No Paul - you misunderstand me - I value your opinion
This was the reason for my post to see what others thought.

Re: Your views please - is this acceptable?
Fairly sure this was brought up on here previously and the person who had a problem rang the company concerned, who said they would take more care. Obviously short lived. They are my main vinyl supplier but never bought clothing off them, fortunatley I get sufficient discount off my suppliers
Re: Your views please - is this acceptable?
Now as you Adam we use this company in fact just put an order in today and almost every order we receive comes like this,we have got used to it now.
One thing we had noticed on some occasions is that you need to double check quantities and sizing we have had a few slight issues like this not just with the clothing but short measure on vinyls.
Keep saying we wont use them again but for some reason head back to them but it not to good when a delivery arrives and you have a customer waiting while the box is opened as we had happen on one occasion .The customer was ok as we joked that the reason for it been packed like that is our supplier knows we iron everything with the heat press before bagging it lol
