At least with GG around you know he won't be afraid of shaking up the 'establishment'......he could be your best ally in this case especially if there is a sniff of corruption.

Good news everyone  I've just had a call from my local councillor who is not at all happy with what the council are trying to do. He went to see the person who had told all the lies to ask what he had said & he denied everything until the councillor threw down the document I had discovered with the council offical's name on the front. The council offical then went all coy & said he may have said things that wasn't quite accurate & started to apologise like mad. He also asked how on earth I had found that document which seems to prove how sensative it was. Our councillor has spent the last couple of days seeing other people at the council & has managed to arrange a few meetings with various other council officals & councillors plus the local MP to find out exactly what has been going on. There is to be new residents forums regarding the sites even though when I requested these I was refused. I have also been invited to most of the meetings as an observer to make sure there are no more lies.

It does look like we can't stop the waste recycling plant going ahead but, one of our main concerns was the volume of traffic around the site & they have promised to sit down with the residents to look at this in full. As for the household waste dump this does look like it will now be stopped as it is going to cause too many problems.

Now here is the best bit as all of a sudden our councillor has been told there is £25,000 that has just become available for our area to use for leisure projects etc. He asked me if I can find some more documents relating to other council projects to see if we can have some more money to spend.

I have to admit I'm quite proud of myself right now

Congratulations on your success.

As for the exhaust pipe problem I think if anyone is so obsessed with their exhaust they deserve to have their girlfriend cheating on them........My advice is go and buy a stainless steel one and then you can spend more time 'inspecting' your girlfriends 'silencers' before she decides to rev up and shoot off with someone else.
