m8 will be looking for new banners for his business around aug/sept....
he asked if i can do them.....

i can buy the banner material from MDP ( bananna banners )...and banner flexor similar
would all i need to do is design the lettering - cut out on my cutter/plotter(when i get it) and apply to banner ?

take it i would need to obviously do it in sections ( the vinyl )....

whats the best way to do it guys

The banner material from mdp is ok but be aware it comes measured by the 2ft length with eyelets so if your mate wants a 3m banner you may have to make slightly larger or shorter length.
Also banner vinyl would be best as it is more flexible to when rolling banner up but it is possible to use normal 5yr vinyl.
Dont forget you would need to scale the lettering to the banner to fit or you will have gaps all over . when laying the vinyl the banner material needs to be taught on a flat surface to make it easier to lay and smooth in .

I have to say i get all mine printed now, its much easier, and i think you get a better look, no cracks in the lettering or peeling, or wonky bits - i pay about £35 for an 8ft x 3 ft banner fully printed and delivered.

Why not take the job and sub it out to one of the places mentioned?

thats really odd, i got them from a mailshot after a show, and they have always priced well - so cant see why they would be more, although your reason could have some logic attached
